Please read Dave Kunzbs note below --- allowing cars up to 1980 smog
exempt in California.

        Dear Automotive Friends,

As all of you know, Ibm not a bserial emailerb when it comes to
group messages. (And I instinctively move my finger to the Delete key when I
see a subject line that contains bFW:b too many times.) But I wanted to
spread this around to anyone I know who has a classic car, attends classic car
shows, or has even had a conversation with me about classic cars.

Therebs a bill being considered by the California Senatebs
Transportation and Housing Committee that would move up the exemption for
bi-annual smog checks from 1975 to 1980. Webd still be checking cars up to
31 years of age, but the cars from the late b70s would now be grouped in as
classics in the smog exemption category. Think Magnumbs Ferrari 308,
Rockfordbs square-headlight Firebirds, Jill Munroebs Mustang Cobra II,
Julian Kayebs 450SL (Google that one if you have to), and so on.

There are instructions in this link. A quick email will only take a
few minutes of your time. J
