50 feet is not enough distance to cause pressure loss - unless you have like
a 1/4 inch water line going to the house, something else is wrong.  Is it a
submersible pump? And if not, how deep is the water level in the well?

Sounds like you got zip for the $100 you paid for expertise.  

Worst case if you have a low flow well, you may have to buy a holding tank,
so you will have stored water available for High flow usage, which is not an
uncommon issue.
