I also recall that happening here years ago. However I run a few lists on Yahoo and
we had a similar problem. Somehow Yahoo (and their re$ource$) solved this problem
and we still kept the auto reply to the list as standard procedure. Just sayin......<grin>

I remember that very thing happening on the team.net list back in the 90’s. Thousands of messages from one guy saying “ I’m out of the office” showed up in members mailbox. Mark was out of town. Took hours to delete them.
