[Shop-talk] OT flash drives

If you go with the freezer route, seal the drive in a ziploc bag (you may
need some RTV or other sealant to ensure the bag is sealed around the
cables, as you'll want to run the drive while its cold) so the drive
doesn't get condensate throughout when you pull it out of the freezer. Some
desiccant in the bag would be helpful (could be rice or silica gel).

It also could be further helpful to start with the bagged drive in a warm
oven (not over 125 F) to drive moisture out and into the desiccant,
followed by
a graduated transition to the freezer (or the refrigerator, if sufficient).
Don't just throw it directly from the oven into the freezer!

The cloud is handy, but don't forget to back it up. I use OneDrive (as part
of my Office 365 account), and use sync software on my NAS to sync
the OneDrive. The NAS then backs up to BackBlaze B2 buckets.
