So with all this AI don't forget about AllData for the DIYers.  You can get a 1 mo. subscription for $20.  So if you're stumped try that.  I keep meaning to as I used one of the commercial on-line diagnostic similar to the "Pro" version of AllData when I was talking auto classes at the local community college.  
I haven't been stumped yet.  My son had a problem with his 2011 F150, no instrument lights and no start.  We spent about 5 hr. working on it and searching the internet  to no avail. Then he found a youtube video about the problem.  Turns out a loose connector in the passenger side front kick panel.  Pulled the panel and sure enough.  Plugged the plug back in and off it went.
These computers and all the support site are our best friends!!!!
