[Shop-talk] Manual transmission issue???

Being only in higher gears suggests the gearbox - if it was the diff that would surely be the same in all gears - potentially more in lower gears due to increased torque. My bet would be on layshaft bearing at the end of the cluster closest to where the higher gears are. Can't see how it would suddenly appear after shop visit though, unless they did some really stupid like draining the fluid and driving it before refilling - or wrong grade fluid and damage done so the second change didn't fix it.
