There are 2 possibilities here.  An overvoltage condition caused by the
alternator/voltage regulator will make the climate control unit reset.  This
can be fixed by replacing the alternator.  The battery light going on and
off could be from the above or from a poor connection on the single wire
connection coming out of the top of the alternator.
