LOL

Reminds me when I went home from my apartment and had dinner with my
mom. After dinner I broke the news to her that I owned 3 SHO's 2 of
which were sitting in my backyard. I know she would have never have
approved of me getting the 93 that I drive now (I got it for $600 after
it had been in a small accident) nor the parts car to fix it up. She
would have thought it was too much of a risk and too much to worry about
while trying to work and go to school. So, I decided to do it all on my
own and break the news to her after I had pretty much parted out the
parts car and scheduled the body shop appointment. Ironically, she was
pretty happy for me to see that I could do all of this on my own..(that
was a relief!)

My dad and i were both car nuts when I was younger. he always would buy
a
nice older car, clean it up, and turn around and sell it and make a few
bucks But at 16 he told me don't expect him tobuy me a car when i turn
17. I
understood (we didn't have much money) and went and got a job at a
supermarket
I paid for drivers ed and saved a little something for a car.
I made a deal with my grandma to buy her 79 Dodge Aspen (2dr) but she
didn't
know how my father would be about it, so we didn't tell him yet One day
close to my 17th birthday i'm at my grandma's with my dad, and he
says come in the back yard, he wants to show me something.
We go in the back, and next to grandmas (my) 79 Aspen is a 75 Dart 4 dr,

triple green (green exterior, green vinyl top, green vinyl interior) he
say s
"I know I said we couldn't buy you a car, but I couldn't see you get
your
license and not have a car."
I thought that was the greatest thing, but then broke him the news that
i
bought grandmas Aspen. I think he was actually a little releived. (I
know I
was)
I still thought that was one of the coolest things he ever did.
He later sold the Dart to a friend of mine for $50, and while my friend
dropped it off at Midas for a muffler, it was stolen!
It was one of the ugliest cars I'd ever seen
