[Shotimes] Strange noise...help!

Well, my bearings were TOAST at 86K:

But, mine's also a 5-speed. Ian mentioned the bearings, but I dunno about
that, as bearings start making noise right off the bat, not after 5-10
minutes of driving.

Oil light flicker could also be from a slightly-too-low idle. Off the top of
my head, could the "new" water pump be acting up? Maybe after getting hot,
the blades are hitting the housing. I wouldn't suspect anything in the top
of the engine, as the clearances close up when it gets hot.

Without the noise, I would suggest it is the oil pressure sensor. I would
change that 1st anyhow. 67K miles is low for a rod knock. Mine didn't start
until 165K or so and only under certain situations.
