For $300, the trans doesn't matter.  A used rear bumper alone sells for
$300.  Don't ask how I know, I hate ice.  You could rebuild the trans or
part out the whole car.  Either way it's a good deal.

I have a chance to purchase a 93 ATX. The owners friend says it runs good
but has trouble out on the highway "getting up through the gears", but it
will drive fine in the city tho. I know 300 for almost any car that runs is
a good deal, and I will probably buy it. Questions:  Will most of the parts
on this one fit on my 94 ATX? Does the transmission problem sound familiar
to anyone?  I know the symptoms are vague, but you guys are very good at
"Email Diagnostics".
