[Shotimes] '89 SHO problem - Tach doesn't move while cranking the motor

If the tach does not turn I would look at the crankshaft position sensor or
the DIS.  Usually if the camshaft sensor is bad the engine will backfire and
sputter.  If that's not happening you are looking at something ignition
related.  Check the Crankshaft position sensor, DIS plugs, coil plug, and
mainly, make sure the harness for the computer is plugged i all the way.  To
verify this, you should get a check engine light on for a bit on the dash
with the car in the on position, but not running.  Good luck!
