If you can't figure out how to make the stock setup work, you can get a set 
of component speakers for the front(6.5" will fit the doors perfect) and 1" 
tweeters will fit in the dash speaker locations(mount it with plumbers tape, 
the metal kind with holes in it). Then you can run a 4ch amp in the trunk and 
run all the front speakers with the front 2 channels and the rear decklid 
speakers with the rear channels. Pretty easy setup and Alpine has a cheap 4ch 
amp at good guys, under $200 if I remember right(and if they still carry it).
