This is incorrect. Even today the C-6 is considered almost indestructible.
The current issue, Dec. 2002, of Car Craft (which is pretty much a all Chevy
mag.) Has a Ford tranny article in it. "The C-6 really has no basic weakness
and can withstand obscene amounts of power in stock form". This is from
aftermarket race transmission experts. In fact the draw back to the C-6 is
it's weight more than anything!
