Thanks for all the replies.  The MTX was somewhat of a pain, but you just
have to hold your mouth just right......I've looked and it appears to be the
main seal.  But then again, I thought so on my '90 and it turned out to be
the pan seal; it can be hard to tell.  It ticks me off; at 50K miles neither
should be leaking.
