I worked as foreman in a few rock quarries and coal mines. If I guy got
something in his eye for example we might call 911 and then send him to an
the hospital to get checked out.
We had an amputation and a bad burn once. I put them in my company truck and
drove them my self. It was fastest.
My dog got his foot cut once in NM, Speed limit was 55 and I was doing twice
that when I found a cop, I pulled him over and asked if I could follow him
to the vet and he was happy to help.
If you have your friend in a touraquet and his arm packed in ice most cops
aren't jerks, not that bad.
If they were hurt worse we might call in life flight.
