Fred,
My 91 has the same headliner issue. I tried using a spray adhesive, the type used to dry-mount photographs. It eventually came
back down. Anyone know what adhesive to use? Fred, please let me know if you find something that works for you.
The fuzzy material on the sunshade is called flocking. It was originally attached with a water-based adhesive. Soak your sunshade
in the bathtub (clear this with AWA first), and gently work it off. Then paint your sunshade with a matte- or satin-finish paint.
Black is easy to find of course, but good matches for gray and mocha can be found in the "designer" spray-paint section of most
home-improvement, craft, or discount stores.

My geriatric, one owner '89 has spent most of its pampered life in my
garage, now having 109,000 miles on the clock. But the headliner,
especially adjacent to the back window is deteriorating badly. What's
your recommended solution?
And what do I do about the crumbling, fuzzy coating on the moon roof
shade panel?
Thanks!
Fred
