[Shotimes] Trouble with idle

I am having this same problem with my 95. I have replaced the IAB valve on
the intake and changed the oxygen sensors and I can switch between an 80mm
proflow and the stock maf and the idle problem still occurs. If I disconect
the small rubber hose that is pointing towards the front of the motor right
next the the IAB valve it will idle fine. I guess because it is letting air
into the intake. The hose goes down to a small cylinder with an electrical
connector. I havn't looked in my manual to see what this unit does. Is it
the charcoal canister purge line? Seems like my motor is not getting enough
air to idle. Here is a pic of the throttle body area.

I replaced the IAB last spring when this first started. It didn't help, but
gave me a chance to visit the ER when I sliced my finger on the metal gasket
behind it. Could the MAF be causing this, or maybe the HEGOs? I read on
the Shotimes that it could be a dirty connector to the MAF. What would be
the best way to clean it? This totally stumps me.

Thanks for the reply.
