[Shotimes] T-stat

I ended up buying a Stant T-stat when the original stuck open. Doesn't have
jiggle valves and I haven't had any problems with it. Don't forget to buy
an o-ring for the new t-stat.

many years and we replaced very few thermostats. It seems that a high
percentage of SHO's have thermostat failures. I think you can use a
standard thermostat just fine. The only problem is that you need the
special O-ring to seal the thermostat housing. I have been running a
Non-SHO thermostat for longer in my car than the original thermostat lasted.
However I did drill a couple of 1/16" holes in the top of it to let air
through.
