[Shotimes] Trouble with idle

Does your cruise control work? If not, the problem is most likely the
speed sensor. The speed sensor attaches to the top of the transmission
and the speedometer cable attaches to it. There's an electrical
connector that plugs into the sensor. Sometimes these get left
disconnected after a clutch job. I'd check it out. It could be
disconnected, or just have gone bad. If your cruise control works
though, the speed sensor's probably OK.

Subject: [Shotimes] Trouble with idle
My '93 SHO has an idle problem that is getting very annoying. When I
come to a stop or when I am idling, the RPMs tend to bounce up and down
between 400-1500. Sometimes it stabilizes, and other times (most of the
time) it stalls if I don't start moving. It's done this since I bought
it last spring. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. If you leave a response, could you please email me also at:

Thanks,
