Cooler air is also usually denser, especially if it is not very humid. More
to push against. I also suspect the tires don't work as well when they are
cold, as produce more drag.

    Spending some time w/ the EEC tuner looking at the spark values based on
ECT is interesting.  Some more there for you when the coolant is cooler.
I'd guess the gen3 cars are maybe the same as well.

I've found on my 89 I can usually get a good ET with a cold/cool motor, but
have found MPH tends to suffer a bit, probably due to the oil and trans
fluid not being warmed up.  The runs I made back to back on a warm day, with
everything at full temp (even hot) with the current n20 jetting I run, have
run in the traps in the 109 range.  With the car cool, can run quicker ET,
but mph is down 2-3 mph on the big end.
