HAHAHA!!!! - this thread ought to last for MONTHS! I'll take a swing at the
questions! ; )

> 1. Oil? (brand or synthetic vs. convention, take your pick)

For a SHO, I'd say Castrol GTX 5W-30 (dino oil) changed religiously every
3000 miles. No Mobil 1 for my SHO due to the paranoia about synthetics and
our engines floating around. I have ran two oil analyses on my engine, both
of which came back great, my rod bearings looked BRAND new at 85K, and my
engine is the cleanest one inside the valve covers I've seen. We also use
this oil at the shop I work at for customers that don't want to use
synthetic.

For a synthetic, I'd say Mobil 1 ALL the way - it's a time-proven synthetic
with lots of development behind it. I don't really trust Amsoil's products,
and the only experience I've had with Redline has been TERRIBLE. This is
the oil we use when we use synthetics. If it's good enough for the 996
Turbo, Viper, and many other factory exotics, it's got to be good enough for
your car!

ABSOLUTELY NO Pennzoil!

> 2. Oil Filters?

Prefer using OEM on ALL vehicles, as if it came on the car new, then it's
must be a good filter. No need to risk engine damage using the
wrong/inferior filter. If OEM isn't available, then Bosch, PureOne, or the
high-scale Frams are acceptable.

No off-brand filters, thank you!

> 3. Gasoline? (brand or octane rating, take your pick)

For all cars, prefer Chevron or Union 76. ALL of my cars only see premium.
Texaco and Shell are okay in a pinch, but NEVER anything else!!!

> 4. T-stats?

Again, OEM, especially with the SHO. I've had good luck with aftermarket
ones for other cars, but I always go for the more expensive ones. This is
something you DON'T want to fail!

> 5. Beer?

Not really a fan, but I do like drinking dark microbrews once in awhile.
Ice-cold Coronas with lime in the summer are also GOOD!

> 6. Generation of SHO?

This is a hard one. I'd have to say Gen II, as that is the reason why I own
one, but the 91+'s are nice, and the Gen III's are growing on me A LOT!
Hard to believe that I HATED them when I bought my car, but after driving
one, I can appreciate the V8 power and much better built chassis. I have
thought seriously about buying a black one! Now put a 5-speed in one of
those, and I'd be hooked!!!

> 7. Y-pipes?

Not much personal experience here, but I think most of the aftermarket ones
are overpriced. The only aftermarket one I've dealt with is on my friend's
'93, and it was a Catco. Real nice work, and they got rid of that 90^ bend
into the cat that the stockers have. They basically look the same as the
SHOshop one, so for 1/3 of the price, I'd say go with them!

Buidling a complete custom system would be the ultimate!

> 8. Mufflers?

Again, not much experience with this, but my friend's '93 has the Dynomax
system on it, and they sound GREAT. No worries about rust around here, as
NOTHING seems to rust.

Again, a custom system would be pretty cool.

> There's problably more but I'm just too damn tired to think of them. Good
> night all!

You asked for it! : )
