[Shotimes] My %$#*&@* Rotors are Warped Again!!!!!!!

I read the stop tech article, and it has a lot of good info,
but I have seen the amount of material removed from those
supposedly "non-warped, with just brake material deposit"
disks, and I think some disks do warp. The bedding in
portion rings true, but follow the specific instructions
with the pads/disks you buy and use the stop tech method if
no instructions are available.
As for your problem, Josh, have you upgraded to the 96-99
disks/pads? This is cheap and only involves buying the new
caliper brackets, about $30? for the pair I think.
I have had a set of Doug Lewis grooved disks on my '89 since
about 1996 when I had him do the full 96 upgrade to that
car. We did a 96 upgrade to my son's 95 and no more warped
disks so far.
The '96 I have had warped disks (excuse me, disks with
deposits or something else) when I bought it, I put on new
stock disks and they are now, about 30,000 miles later just
giving a tiny bit of brake, not really vibration, but
evidence of some sort of warp, but it is not annoying at all.
I use the Carbotech pads on my '89, and have several sets in
reserve, since these are the best compromise pads I have
ever found, but they are no longer available. I use the
stock OEM Ford pads on my '96 and Ken's '95. They work
great for street and mild track use, just not as good at
high po-stopping as the Carbotech's or some other semi-race
pads.
I do NOT like Performance Friction pads, they don't have
good cold stopping performance, and their hot performance
isn't as good as Carbotech or others I have heard of.
Make sure you use a torque wrench on your wheels, bed them
in properly, and avoid use of parking brake while hot, or
sitting at a stop with the brakes applied after a really
hard stop, if possible.
You might try a set of Doug's grooved disks. They certainly
have worked well for me. I use the OEM Ford disks and
haven't had problems.
