[Shotimes] 95 SHO hard starting when warm

Hi, I'm new to the list, but have used the FAQ extensively. I'm having a
problem with my 95 SHO that I hope someone can help me with.

I had the infamous check engine light, with the error code about the EGR
valve. Well, before I got around to fixing the "problem" I also started
experiencing hard start problems when the car had been run, then turned off to
sit for an hour or so. When I would try to start it it would stall and stall
and take a lot of on/off cycles of the key to finally get it to start.

Well I replaced the EGR valve (this was before I read the FAQ) to no avail.
This past weekend I removed the intake manifold and cleaned out the EGR
passages in the intake and I also cleaned the IAC valve. Now I only
itermittently get a check engine light on (have not checked the code yet) and
I still have a hard start problem when warm. What is going on? Do I have a
bad IAC valve, a weak fuel pump, what?

By the way, when the hard start problem occurs, I crank and crank and then it
will finally start, but sometimes the tach does not work then for the next few
minutes. Is this part of the clue? Is it the DIS module? Help!

Thanks,
John
