[Shotimes] TRANNY HELP ASAP!

I think the point is that putting in a used MTX tranny is
taking a chance on the same thing happening again. I don't
think there is any disagreement that it COULD happen and HAS
happened.

Is spending the money on a Quaife and re-built tranny worth
it? Only the person spending the money can make that
assesment, but it is best that that person have BOTH sides
of the coin. You folks have given him both sides, no need
in saying that one side is right or wrong, you are both
right if the situation fits.

If all you need to do is get the car going as cheap as
possible to sell or trade, get used or make a new one from
parts. That person needs to understand that that
replacement could go in the next mile or never. Just
because some people have put in used units, beat on them and
they have lived so far doesn't mean that we don't have just
as good a history of used units going bad, some quickly,
some not, just like any known defective part!

If you want to keep the car many years, and have the money,
a Quaife (limited slip differential that won't break as
easily as the stock unit, but can still be destroyed like
any part) is the way to go.

No need to argue over it.
