Always lurking. I have had the car for 10 years and was
leaning toward something new until I started talking to
Mark. We re-did the bearings, 96 brake upgrade and then
did a tranny rebuild/Quaife a year later.
You can not pry the car from me. My wife did not appreciate
the up front cost, but if I drive the car 4/5 more years she
is now understanding the savings in the long run.
After suspension and brakes the Quaife really keeps the driving
grin going. Not just for track time, but it really makes the
car put the power down in turns. I can really accelerate instead
of the inside tire spin. Made the car fun to drive again and I
can look past the creaks, rattles and groans.
I had to relearn how to drive the car. I was turning in
way to early at the track, but Mark had warned me. He knew
enough not to follow me around for the first few laps :-0
If the car falls apart I will just move the parts to the next
SHO. I expect to have one in the garage for a many more years
unless Mark starts working on other cars ;-)
