Since the Fiero came out in '84, and the MR2 in '85, who is a fake?? ;-)

Anyway, neither of them were the first small 2-seat cars on the road. Bit of
a difference in purpose between them. Plus, just when GM was starting to get
the Fiero "right", they pulled the plug.

The V6 setup with the ATX (as I have) is less than desirable. Throttle
response can be measured in hours, although it ain't bad once it gets
cooking. Handling and overall driving feel are very good, it reminds me of a
Porsche 914. Comfort is also pretty good. I drove it from Irvine to
Louisville a few years ago (across 3 days.....just about the same route and
stops as when I brought Mallinson's '91+ across country), and found it to be
a comfortable freeway cruiser.

A fiero is a fake MR2. :) The Mr2 is more SHO like with a Yamaha
designed motor, dual intake runners, etc. Very nice car; handling can't
be beaten..

I have been half-heartedly looking for a MTX V-6 Fiero for the last
couple of years. Never have found one that wasn't an expensive show room
new or a POS.

Don't they have a club? And maybe a list like ours?

As a toy I think that a modded V-6 MTX could be a lot of fun!

"double clutch" it's good for both you and your SHO
