The real 85 Pace Car had a cool 2.7L Quad 4 (GM's first public use of the
engine, and they wanted to show it off).  The replica Pace Cars had either
the 2.5L (non)Tech-4 which wheezed 92hp or the 3.0L V6, which was a
destroked 3.8L V6, and was probably over rated at 125hp.  Those early 3.0L's
weren't very good :-(  But, since the engine is just a destroked 3.8L, it
would take very little to put a new S/C'd 3.8L and 4-spd auto into one.  Way
cool ride :-)
