2) http://www.radiator.com $139
Believe the mtx uses the same rad as the 3.2 atx.

5) http://www.rockauto.com/
       http://www.fordpartsnetwork.com/sho.htm
When you see a T-stat that has a "jiggle valve", you'll know immediately.
It's the perfect name for that part.

Subject: [Shotimes] Dead 93 MTX

Hi All,

I posted a while back when my 93 MTX w/110k died on me and I had to get
towed. I am now in the process of tearing the thing apart to do the 60k
service plus a bunch of other stuff. I'll try to keep this short but I
could really use some suggestions from you SHO pro's out there!

1.	In the process of tearing down I found that the cause of the
catastrophic failure was my timing belt broke. I know some of you have
probably been over the answer to this a thousand times but....When I go
to put a new timing belt on, how do I know for sure that Cams and Crank
are on the right revolution? Helms says make sure Cyl 1 is TDC...How do
I check this and what about the other cams/crank position. If my timing
belt wouldn't have broke I wouldn't be asking this stupid question. I
just want to make sure I get it right when I go to put it back together.

2.	I am replacing the radiator because it was leaking. Is the
radiator for the SHO the same one that is in the regular 3.0L Taurus?
That's all I can seem to come up with, not one that is SHO specific.
Except the $249 Sho Shop one - I think I can get one for less.

3.	From browsing some earlier posts it seems like autozone.com is
the place to go for gaskets. Is there a kit that includes intake, plug
well seals AND valve cover gaskets?

4. 60k tools/shims. Where's the best place to rent these from?

5.	Any suggestions on the best place to buy the following parts
from would be greatly appreciated too.

Water Pump
Timing/ACC belts
CPS (Crank Sensor)
Crank Seal
Thermostat/Sending Unit (BTW, what is the jiggle valve?) I can't see
anything non-symmetrical on my old one except for maybe one small dimple
missing from an inner ring on the thing.
Plugs/Wires

6.	Cleaning. I am kind of an obsessive compulsive type - and have
been trying to clean all the parts I take off so they're nice and shiny
when I go to put it back together. Intake manifold was/is still dirty
in the snakes. What's the best product to get all that shit out of the
runners? Camshafts and surrounding area? I've used a little brake
cleaner and realize that some of this is just going to drain down into
the oil pan. Oil is all out and I am planning on doing an oil system
flush when I am all done. Synthetic Oil - is this the way to go?
7.	My Uncle is the service manager at our local Chevy dealer, he
got me some prices from our Ford dealer - he gets a pretty good
discount. Some are reasonable, some are still ridiculous Ford prices -
in the process the Ford dealer told him I need to replace my cam seals
too, Is this true? I haven't looked these up in the Helms yet but just
wanted your guy's opinions.

OK, so much for keeping it short! Sorry.
Thanks in advance.
