[Shotimes] Changing strut mounts and bearings

Yes, it is possible. I've both removed and installed stock and Eibach
springs without the compressor.

For the front:

Remove everything from the bottom of the strut.
Remove the wheels from your jack.
Put the jack on a piece of wood (2x10 or such) directly under the strut, so
that it will not slip. If you've got a smooth concrete floor, add a rubber
mat between the wood and the floor.
Slightly raise the strut (1/4").
Stand on the jack, with the handle all the way up. Remove the strut nut.
Drop the strut slowly.

You need a decent floor jack to do this.

I personally cut out a wood board so that I do not have to remove my jack's
wheel.
I've also leveraged a 2x4 against the subframe, but would not recommend it
as the strut WILL slip off as the board angle become extreme. I've never
cared about used struts, though. I suppose you could fabricate a bowl to
hold it in position if you wanted.
