I'm 6'1", 31 inch inseam, but the thing is that the seats in 89s are an inch or so higher
above the floorpan than they are in later models, even '90s and '91s.  The seats
themselves are the same, it is the height of the floorpan where the seats bolt in that is
different.  I can't get a comfortable angle for my feet against the throttle, and it is
harder to drive an '89 smoothly through the gears....at least for me.   I have to bend my
ankles more than in the later cars (poor baby!!), and it makes a difference in smoothness
in shifting.  I get used to it after a while, but it all goes away again once I get in a
'90 (my main driver).
