Kevin:
 I have had to replace the driver in the factory JBL box on both of my
SHO's. I posted some time back that I found a perfect drop in replacement
which I think sounds much better. It's a JL Audio unit. 6W0. I got one for
around $70 on ebay. They are not that common but can be found. I would use a
better amp if I replaced the subwoofer.
