[Shotimes] Windshield Wipers

Has anyone else had this problem?  If I buy my wiper blades in the size
recommended by the Bosch book in the parts store, the driver side blade hits
the door frame or windshield trim or something on the upswing, making a very
annoying *click* sound.  I can just buy a shorter blade, but does anyone
have an explanation for this?  Is the book wrong, or is it possible that my
car is just weird?  Well, anyway...just wondering.
