I've always been curious how the rear proportioning valve works on our cars.
Does the bracket on the valve actually push in the valves to allow flow, or
does it just make contact with them. I've played around with both an old
and a new proportioning valve, and it doesn't seem like anything really
moves besides the bracket that the rod and spring are attached to. I admit
I haven't ever applied much force (worried I'd break something), but I still
would like to know exactly how they operate...
