Maybe I missed something, but the 350Z is a completely new car that 
suceeds the 300ZX with was in fact discontinued in the USA awhile ago. 
The MKII MR2's stopped being sold in the US after the 1995 model year 
(only 200 turbos in the US in 95) and stopped production elsewhere in 
1998. The MKIII Spyders came back only 2-3 years later at the turn of 
the century.

Where does the info on the Eclipse come from (as a replacement for the 
3000GT?) I have not heard that the RX7 had trouble meeting emissions 
before either..Not debating with you, but I haven't heard this before..
