Just wanted to give everybody the opportunity before I ebay her:
Warning: you may detect a note of sentimentality.

1992 MTX Red/gray cloth/pleather interior 158K, new clutch/flywheel/bearing
at 118K by Village Ford in Dearborn Michigan subframe mounts and bolts too,
new waterpump, coolant overflow bottle, cooling fan and sensors/belts at
136K by Village Ford, new starter as of 9/2000 (two days before move to NC)
new front brake rotors and pads at Franklin BP station Franklin Michigan (1
day before move to NC)
, new rear brake rotors and pads and caliper slides/ pins in Spring 99, new
redundant radio control buttons in Fall 2001 ;) all hard brake lines in rear
replaced at 158K by Ford Dealership in Manteo, NC, new battery last month.

I bought her in FEB 98 with 100K on the odo from a guy who drove lots of
highway miles in Michigan servicing Kroger store accounts. Moved down to
Chapel Hill,NC in 9/2000, and the car has been here since. This car is 10+
years old, but I'd say better than average for its age. STRONG engine, body
good: hood has chips, door dings and the fuel filler fender rust bubble.
Interior good but not perfect! I've got the receipts for all the major
stuff.

This car has not been abused, Driven in a spirited fashion, yes, but not
abused. My Dad bought the engines for Ford back in 88, I've spent hours on
the SHO sites doing research and keeping an eye to the proper maintenance
for this car, and I've been a lurker on the boards here for quite a while
too.

This is what she needs: someone with more money than me:) I'm going back to
college and just can't spend the money on her, so somebody is going to get
IMHO the ideal platform for performance modifications.

This is what she needs really: a new ypipe and mufflers. Probably a blower
control module. A new emergency brake cable and a new ignition lock
cylinder.

Cosmetically: a new EATC with the good buttons, the door pillars repainted,
and a new shift knob and steering wheel cover.

So unless someone is willing to sponsor me with flexible terms on parts, I
guess she's officially for sale.

Email me at cooney_colin@hotmail.com for any questions, or if you want to
try to convince me to keep her.
