Yamaha motorcycle engine shims.
Actually, the shims will be easy in the future. Oil & water pumps, gaskets,
MX tranny parts, etc will be more fun!!

Subject: [Shotimes] Valve shim kits...
Now that Ford has done away with production of official valve shims for the
Gen I and 2 cars, I am wondering what, if anything, all of the enthusiasts
are going to do when it comes to future 60K services.
Is this a potential problem, or a problem looking for a solution BEFORE this
board becomes filled with plaintive cries for help in locating parts. Is it
a matter of finding a machine shop and trying to set up a group buy of kit
fabrication? Just thinking out loud here, because it would seem to me that
when the time comes for many of you (maybe us, depending on my tax return)
it would really suck to not be able to have continued use and enjoyment of
these cars that people have put so much time and attention into.
I am unaware of any alternatives to the factory set as of right now, if
anyone has a good idea as to high quality replacements, I'd be interested in
the info.
Also, saw a white Gen 2 on Saturday leaving Chapel Hill, heading toward I40,
was it anybody who reads this list?
