There's a reason BMW is called "The Ultimate Driving Machine." Their cars
(save the Ms) may not be the most powerful in their class, but they are so
so well engineered that it doesn't matter. I've driven quite a few newer
BMWs, and each one just feels so good - everything from the 325i to the 745
iL (these are FUN to drive!). I couldn't find ONE thing I didn't like in
ANY of these cars.

I've done an engine swap on an abused '95 525i, and even though that car
wasn't taken care of, all of the electronics and mechanisms worked
flawlessly. The doors shut still shut with a solid "thud" that even the
newest, most advanced domestic car couldn't match.

As soon as I saw this thread about the CTS, I was going to write something
scathing about it, but after reading the article and looking at the car, I
decided to hold off. I am totally anti-GM, but I figured I'd have to give
this car a chance, since the specs and performance data seem quite
impressive. Although I guarantee that no matter how hard Cadillac or any
other domestic manufacturer works, they'll never be able to match the entire
driving experience of a BMW.

One of these days I'll be able to afford a German car, but until then my SHO
will keep me VERY happy! : )
