[Shotimes] 8lb flywheel insert

Still him-hawing about what clutch to buy to go with my new MTX w/
quaife. Any input would be appreciated. I'm trying to get SP to come
down on their Grizzly OEM or SPEC stage 1, closer to what I would pay
for the OEM stuff (plus ceramic bearing upgrade) from Josh.

In the mean time, I'm trying to figure out what to do with my SS
aluminum flywheel insert. I can still see the crosshatching plain as
day, but the surface is slightly blued. I assume this is due to the
slippage incurred for so long after the ear on the Grizzly bearing broke
and the bearing rotated on the fork, throwing everything out of
alignment.

I was told when I bought it the insert could be lightly surfaced, once
maybe twice. Has anyone actually had it done? Should I? If so, can I
leave the flywheel bolted to the crank, and loosen the allen head bolts
to take the insert out? How tight do put them back in, and do I need to
use any loctite?

Thanks,

Justin
