I doubt your car sounds worse than mine. If it does, I doubt it would still
be running!

Again.....unless the crank is scored and needs to be re-machined, standard
bearings are what you need. This engine was built by a non-US mfr who has
been building high-rpm engines for years. I even doubt tat US mfrs will do
stuff like put undersized cranks in engines anymore. They have improved
their production methods a lot over the years.

Standard bearings are "NOT" used when old bearings wear out, they are used
when the crank has been machined to a smaller diameter. The crank journal
material is, by design, MUCH HARDER than the bearings. You need to
understand that the bearings are designed to be the wear item.

Just my 2 cents - but if you're car sounded like mine you'd be worried
about just sticking standard sized bearings on.
