I had to drill out all 4 studs in the manifold, as well as put in new ones.
There are pictures for the ONLY (IMHO) drill to use for drilling out old
studs, as well as some GM pieces I bought to replace the studs.

Since the holes in the manifold were mangled, I held the studs in place with
a top & bottom nut on the manifold, then a 3rd nut held the y-pipe up. It
would have helped if those studs were maybe 1/2" or more longer, but they
worked and have been holding fine since last July.

Curious as to what the sizes are for the exhaust studs and nuts, and if it's
possible to pick them up from an aftermarket source? Doing a clutch job
here and all 4 are toast. Also any idea on sources for the spring nuts and
bolts for the y-pipe to resonator connection? If we can't get the old studs
out and put new ones in, what are our options for reattaching the y-pipe?
Drilling them out and putting inserts in? Any idea what size? Thanks for
any help!
