This is pretty much how I fixed a leaking crimp fitting on one of those
tubes on my friend's SHO. It was a MAJOR PITA to get the bolt that secures
the tube with the CELO sensor off the car, and I modified the bracket for
easier installation when I put it back together.
Bulk hose works perfect for this, and really should be what Ford used
instead of the retarded crimp fittings. You can't source these metal tubes
from Ford anymore, nor would you want to - they wanted a fortune for them
back when they were still available.
