[Shotimes] Interesting...porting the intake

Well,

I had the dremel and the flexishaft attachment for a while, I picked up a
foot pedal for $12 off ebay so that I could control the speed a little
better. I also got a kit from www.eastwoodco.com that has all the different
rolls and tapers i needed, and i picked up a 2in long 1/8in shank mandrel. I
think I'm gonna be gettiing a 4in and 6in long mandrel in a 1/4in shank and
having my machine shop cut it down so I can use it in my dremel.

I really think that with the mismatch cleaned up on eht long runners, and
some matching on the heads to the runners, some decent numbers could be
gained. I also was working on some measurements on the short runners, and I
think that there is potential there especially with the BBB's teamed up with
a set of custom intake horns. I think the horn design could be made to match
the BBB size and still give the desired venturi effect of speeding the air
up on it's way into the engine. perhaps the effect could be even enhanced.
>From what I have measured it should be possible to machine a set of horns
that would match the BBB size and retail the effective runner length and
venturi effect. But alas with everything it'll be a while till I get some
time to have a set made up.

Seeing what I see here, I have to imagine that there are some sizeable gains
to be had.
