Joseph,
My '89 consumes money as well, however, when I calculated the amount of $
I've put into it, divided by the time I've owned it, I come up with $142.37 a
month. (this does NOT include original price, insurance, or parking. It DOES
include gas, oil, and all maintainence/upgrade costs)
Where can you get a kick-ass ride these days for $3800 down and $142.37
monthly? AND think of the money thats saved on collision insurance, finance
charges, Wasted time at dealerships vs. fun with cars time in your driveway.
IMHO, that was $160 well spent. (Plus you now know pretty much know how many
miles/much time before you have to do that particular repair again)
All in all one of the great automotive performance bargains in the known
universe!
Stiff upper lip, soldier on....
Cheers, Bob (BB-NYC '89)

Today, Annie consumed $160 worth of left front wheel bearing, outer tie-rod
This is a 13-year-old car
but I am still making payments at the First National Bank of NAPA. Anybody
else bank there? ;-)
