I was under a 1994 Cougar a few years ago and noticed that it had IRS.  That 
might be a good candidate for a track car.  You can find used ones cheap.  
You can fit a V8 in it.  Strip it and the weight will probably go down to a 
good point.  I don't know how much rubber will fit though.

I noticed that a TBird did well in the latest One Lap but I didn't put 2 and 
2 together until just now.
