[Shotimes] rod bearings

And I don't understand why Ford didn't just use the whole 3.2 for the MTX,
as well as using the ATX console and extending the hole another 1/4" to the
left so that they could use one console for both the ATX and MTX Gen 2 SHOs.

FWIW, it IS possible to lug an ATX. One time, when I was following a line of
cars (in my '99) at the 2000 Convention, I found that if you go about 35 mph
and be in 3rd gear and have the TC lock up, a very light throttle will
induce pinging when the TC doesn't unlock, nor does the tranny downshift.

Heresy for A SHO owner you say?? Well, there are a lot of SHO owners out
there who drive like wussies...but they will never admit it. FWIW, I have
seen a few in action.

That's interesting. I've only examined one 3.2 engine rod bearings during a
conversion at 45k miles, but they were in good shape by Plastigage checking.
The larger pump must be to compensate for the increase in reciprocating mass
since the atx can't be lugged. Too bad that Yamaha didn't retrofit the
larger pump design for the 3.0 and make the 3.2 pump better.
