Buying a rebuild kit for a 455 Buick consisted of new gears and a S/S wear
plate for the bottom half of the pump which is where all the damage would
occur. They also offered longer housings with taller gears for a high
volume. Pump body is part of timing chain cover. Pumps are different design
but the principal could be the same.
