[Shotimes] Cooling Fans

Mike,

One major difference between a 3.8L/3.0L fan and the 3.2L SHO fan:

The motor on the SLOs are "three wire" schematically and the 3.2L SHO is
"two wire". Basically, the 3.2L SHO fans are meant to run at two different
voltages. They should both run at the same time, either in low or high. I
would imagine low is 7V, high is 14V - although I don't know for sure.
There is a Dropping Resistor on the 3.2L SHO, which allows for the low speed
operation.

The SLO fans are operated at low and high speed by sending 14V to the proper
motor winding - either BRown/Orange wire for low, and DarkBlue wire for high
speed.

You could turn one of the fans on with the BR/O wire from the CCRM, and the
other fan with the DB wire from the CCRM. That might work, although the low
fan might shut off when in high speed mode.

Let me know if that helps... I have the EVTM so it's a lot clearer here.
