[Shotimes] Steering Pump Removal/Installation

I would first clean up all the oil around the problem area and make sure its not your cam seal as previiously posted by another shotimes member. Once u are sure its your pump than go for.

I have only removed pwr steering pumps when pulling motors but I agree with steve that you do probably have to raise the motor  a tad to get too it.

I would remove the rear motor mount bolt and prob the front too. raise the motor high enough to get to the pump but not to high .. a few inches max. Your exhause is still connected as is your wiring harness.
The motor mount nuts are a 21 mm if memory serves me right.

As previously mentioned, u can take a floor lift with a nice 2x6 under the oil pan and lift the motor up a tad. When u lift just be real careful and check all connections and exhaust so u dont go to far.

I would disconnect the the passenger engine dampner ( small shock absorber ) on the passenger strut tower.  

Also disconnect and remove the cross over tube with your DIS module on it. I also got from a supermarket a baster ?  .. its one of those things that have a suction cup on it that u baste turkey s with etc. I use this to suck up the dextron III in the pwr steering resv. Works real well.

Than disconnect the lines and tie off to the side.

You have three bolts that connect the pump to the bracket. two front and one rear. I think they are 13 mm. Than the pump high pressure line is 18mm. Get a 5 head wrench so as not to strip it. They are hard to get off sometimes. 

When re-attaching the high pressure line make sure you use teflon tape.
