[Shotimes] Sluggish steering at high speeds

It felt like something was wrong but wasn't sure. I haven't been worried
about it as I'm going to be doing an overhaul of the entire suspension and
wheels. I figured I'd get it all fixed up at that point.

I've only owned the car for the last two months and have been doing basic
maintenance as finances allow, and as time permits. I've got a list that
I'm going over, slowly. Suspension/wheels/tires are in the middle
somewhere, engine bay is at the front. As I didn't get any paperwork with
it when I bought it, I'm going to be going over what I can to try and keep
it in excellent condition. I'm going with the assumption that oil changes
were the only thing performed on it... I'm also trying to keep the mileage
down on it. I've barely put 1,000 km on it in my 2 months (900 km, just
over) and trying to keep it a low mileage car. I've still got less than
78,000 miles total on the odo.

If your car pulls to the right, it's probably because the rear toe setting
is off. In other words, the rear wheels steer the rear of your car to the
left which causes the front to go right. You can't fix this by changing the
toe settings in the front.

The problem with fixing the rear toe is that on most older cars is that it
can't be done since the eccentric bushings at the H-brace are frozen into
place.

I'm running stock sizes on my '89, 215/65-15 on over half-worn
Michelin<br>XGT-V4s, also on stock '89 basket wheels. They are super grabby
and I get<br>the 'sluggish' feel on the highway. It seems like I fight it
over every rut<br>and bump on the road. I'm trying to burn these out before
finally getting<br>some 17", so I don't have much experience with different
tire sizes. I<br>thought it was my steering as well and inspected that and
didn't find<br>anything out. I had just had my outter tie-rod ends replaced
and was told<br>they did an alignment. I dont' believe them...car still
pulls to the right.<br>Unless I missed something. /shrug.<br><br>Les<br>'89
