[Shotimes] Spring Rates

I've had the Intrax/Koni combo in the car for over two years now and am very
pleased with them. They lower the SHO about as far as you want to go with
our limited suspension travel up front and give it the proper stance, with
the rear looking equal to or slightly higher than the front. The only
downside is they are progressive and the Konis don't dampen them to my
tastes. I've seen many applications where Koni shocks are designed for the
stock setup and don't agree to well with stiffer, shorter springs.
IMHO, the ultimate combo would be some good quality linear springs that
lower the SHO about like the Intrax springs and some Konis that were
revalved to handle the higher spring rates. Since that combination is not
readily available, and getting things custom ordered is a lot of money, I'd
say the Intrax/Koni combo is the best way to go.
Speaking of Konis, what is the average lifespan people have found for the
inserts on our cars with and without lowering springs? Mine are still
holding up pretty well, but I'm thinking I might have them revalved if/when
they wear out...
